From 1976 until arriving at Mid-Atlantic Builders in 1985, Stephen Paul held key positions in the land development and home building industry.  He began his career in 1976 with the engineering firm of Dewberry and Davis.  From 1978 until 1983, Mr. Paul was a Land Development Project Manager with Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc.  From 1983 until 1985, Mr. Paul was the Northern Virginia Regional Land Resources Manager for Ryan Homes.

In 1985, Mr. Paul joined Mid-Atlantic Builders as Vice President of Acquisition and Land Development.  Mr. Paul's responsibilities originally included land acquisition, land planning and engineering design, land development management and supervision, project budgeting, marketing, and contractor bid solicitation and selection.  In 1989 and 1994, Mr. Paul's efforts helped Mid-Atlantic win "Best Community Design" awards for the Silverbrook and Westview communities in Bowie, Maryland.

Mr. Paul has expertise in all aspects of single-family home development and construction and has managed Mid-Atlantic Builders’ home building operations for fifteen years, overseeing the construction of more than 1,000 homes, and the management of all Mid-Atlantic home building departments including Production, Customer Service, and the administrative staff.  Mr. Paul has a broad background in land planning, architecture, construction, sales and marketing, and management, gained through almost thirty years of experience in the industry.
