We have broken ground on her beautiful homesite in The Villages of Savannah and taken the first steps towards building Deborah Massey the home of her dreams. The footer, a base for the foundation is in and the foundation wall panels have been erected so that concrete can be poured.
Once the concrete sets, we will remove the wall panels. Then, Mid-Atlantic Builders will thoroughly waterproof the exterior of the
foundation wall to prevent moisture problems in the future and provide peace of mind for Ms. Massey. After seven days the concrete will be cured and strong enough to have yard dirt filled around the home. The yard is then rough graded which helps drain water away from the house. This will be refined later on. At this stage, Ms. Massey’s house is now ready for the next step — framing!
