Over the years, Mid-Atlantic Builders has been acknowledged as an industry leader for our design trends and our energy-efficiency innovations. Recently we were recognized again in BUILDER magazine as one of only three builders from across the country chosen to partake in an article about efficiency and design improvements.
Our Executive Vice President, Stephen Paul, was interviewed about a variety of innovations that Mid-Atlantic has introduced over the past year, some of which resulted from our customers’ requests. We’ve added an optional guest suite design to all of our floorplans to accommodate their multi-generational housing needs. We introduced a new family gourmet kitchen that features a large work island often used as a household gathering place. We have also started constructing all of our homes under our Energy$mart program. This program not only meets the standards of Energy Star, it substantially surpasses them. We include spray foam under the floor joints at the exterior ban board of every house in order to protect the interior from drafts. And we also include 95%-efficient HVAC systems that are customized for each home we build. These are only two of the many energy-efficient designs we have under our Energy$mart program.
We look forward to further refining our products over the next year and thank BUILDER magazine for their recognition and the honor of being chosen for the article. And, we thank our customers for their valuable input and feedback that helps us design better homes.
