Mid-Atlantic Builders is seeking an experienced senior manager to serve as CFO and oversee its financial operations.  This individual will be an integral part of the Company’s executive team and will report directly to the President.  The CFO will play a critical role in strategic planning, investment decisions, budgeting, financial reporting, capital structure and securing optimal financing.  As a respected member of senior management, this individual will be a top leader who influences all critical business decisions.

  • Manage and oversee all financial affairs for Mid-Atlantic Builders, including cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting to drive the company’s financial strategy and success
  • Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed and prepare detailed reports for management team, investors and other company stakeholders
  • Determine annual operating, capital and departmental budgets and work with all parties to maintain throughout the year
  • Research revenue opportunities, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
  • Implement risk management strategies through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure
  • Support HR operations by coordinating payroll and external benefit providers
  • Manage cash flow to ensure compatibility with operations and oversee all day-to-day accounting, recording and reporting
  • Monitor national and local compliance regulations to ensure regulatory documents are filed
  • Work with outside tax and accounting firms to prepare necessary reporting statements for taxes and financial partners
  • 5-7 years experience in leadership position within a company’s finance department
  • Excellent leadership, analytic and communication skills
  • Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues and tax planning
  • Experience raising capital outside traditional lines of credit
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • CPA and degree in finance or accounting
